Want to help with the project?

Well, we could sure use some help!

Scanning the documents and putting them on line is not too difficult.  It will take time to get it all done, but that’s OK.  The difficult thing is getting all of the files indexed.  This requires at least a cursory reading of every document and noting who it is from/to, the date, the topics, etc. (all of the information on the index page).  This is the most time consuming part of the project.

If you are willing and able to commit to indexing 10, 25, or even 50 documents that would be a tremendous help!  Just let me know by emailing papers@gwinnfamily.org, and I’ll assign you a block to index (that will keep people from duplicating efforts).  This is the most immediate need we have for help.

Longer term, some have suggested that transcribed versions of the documents would be helpful.  Many of the pages are difficult to read and this would help those conducting any research.  While I’ll certainly accept and post any transcriptions, indexing the files is the most pressing need.

If you have other suggestions for the site, please let us know!!

Thanks,

Matthew Gwinn
